Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)

There are two primary programs to get a Canadian PR for a foreign national.

1. Alberta Express Entry Stream

This is also the EASIEST PROGRAM to get the Canadian PR for a foreign national.

Candidates are selected from Federal Express Entry pool to apply under Alberta Express Entry stream. Federal Express Entry candidates with CRS score 300 may be selected with notification for the Alberta Express Entry stream. Provincial Nomination increases an Applicant’s CRS score by 600 points.

Steps

  1. Express Entry Profile in Federal Express Entry Pool
  2. Notification of Interest (NOI) Letter
    • obtaining from AAIP via the Government of Canada Express profile
    • sending NOI letter copy to AAIP stating an interest in applying to the AAIP within 2 weeks of receiving the NOI letter
  3. Determination made by the AAIP on minimum eligibility criteria to apply
    • Those who met the minimum eligibility criteria receive an Invitation to Submit an application

2. Accelerated Tech Pathway for Tech Workers

This immigration stream requires an active Express Entry profile in the Federal Express Entry pool with a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 300.
